Job Description

Looking for a full time employee for an Environmental Monitor / Project Manager located in Golden BC with flexibility within the role split between field work and work from home.

The Environmental Monitor/ Project Manager will be responsible for:

  • Conducting Environmental Monitoring for construction projects
  • Performing water quality monitoring
  • Helping clients adhere to Construction Environmental Management Plans
  • Performing wildlife monitoring
  • Bird nest surveys
  • Vegetation assessment, monitoring and management
  • Soil sampling
  • Writing Construction Environmental Management Plans, Erosion and Sediment Control Plans, Sediment and Drainage Management Plans, and Environmental Protection Plans.
  • Completing daily and weekly reporting including erosion and sediment inspection logs and spill reports
  • Communicating with clients and contractors in a concise and timely manner
  • Liaison between contractor and regulatory agencies
  • Acting as agent and applying for natural resource and water sustainability act notifications/approvals


  • Bachelor’s Degree or Similar in Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry or related field
  • Experience with environmental monitoring and reporting
  • Experience with field work
  • Water quality monitoring
  • Knowledge of applicable environmental guidelines and regulations
  • Attention to detail and the ability to ensure accuracy of data and information
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to  work with various stakeholders and clients
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Valid Drivers License and ability to travel to local sites
  • Problem solving skills and proactive work approach
